ZOË
I'm
just a normal Setter,
Who's hearing is defective,
Those who know no better,
Might think it was selective.
Whenever there's a
treat,
Or biscuit handed out,
I'm always on my feet,
Mum never has to shout.
I will never miss my
tea,
And I'm always first in line,
Mum never has to call me,
And I 'know' which bowl is mine.
They say 'It's
such a shame!'
And think my life so sad,
To me each day's a game,
And I think they're quite mad.
My world is full of
friends,
Smudge he's my special mate,
We send Mum round the bend,
She's plenty on her plate.

| Zoë
was born deaf - but it has never in any way impaired her quality of life. She has lived her life to the full! At the grand age of 16 she is taking life easier now. Although she can still turn on the 'I'm a Setter, and I'm completely daft routine,' as the picture below bears witness to! |
