Hello everyone and welcome to my web page.  I will try and add lots of interesting things for all of you English Setters to read and enjoy.  Especially food as I am very keen on food.

I am at the moment resting, after being on a rather nice walk.  It took me, super Sophie,  to flush out a pheasant for this lot!!

"Yep, that's exactly how it was - sort of!"

This lot being, Medwin, Tess and Rosie the Italian Spinone.  Of course they were  most impressed. 'How did you do that?' they all barked  Actually (but keep this hush hush) I fell over it.  I was bending down to look at some mushrooms that were growing in the field, and tripped over the pheasant. You should see all the mushrooms in the field next to us. Tess said they are 'magic' mushrooms. I watched them for ages but I never saw them do any tricks. No rabbits from hats.  I am investigating ways to go and get them.  Such a lot of good free food in the Country...

I am also busy helping with some DIY jobs.  Duncan is cutting some skirting board, and I am helping by trampling all of the shavings around the house on my feet and tail.  Funny stuff this shavings it just seems to stick to you without any effort on my part.

I can smell our tea cooking and am really looking forward to it.

Last night I started  to watch the football on the TV England v Turkey.

Medwin said that England would stuff the Turkeys. Talk about drooling.

This sounded like my kind of game. I waited and kept looking but I could not see any Turkeys, and asked Medwin when would they appear?  Well, I was not amused when I found out that Turkeys are footballers. Sometimes things are not what they seem. What about the Christmas Turkey then?  Here is another confusing thing. Vet bed.  I was rather concerned when I was told that  some large pieces of Vet Bed had been ordered, and that one was for me.
I mean, I did not want anything that a Vet had slept on or might still be sleeping in. I like my own bed - all to myself.  Imagine my relief when I found out just what it was.  Why could they not say 'some nice warm fluffy bedding'.  I would have understood then.

That's all for now folks.  Off for a ramble down the field I can taste those mushrooms.

News update - whilst coming back on our walk tonight a young red deer ran across our path.  Of course we all did our English Setter bit, and Rosie did her Italian Spinone bit (yes folks  - we never saw it).  Well Rosie caught a whiff of it, but us 3 ES's seemed to miss it somehow!
We did catch a white furry thing though, and carried it all the way back home.  It was Barnum, he had come to hunt the deer in the field.  He said he had been stalking it all day.  He thinks he is white tiger, not a domestic cat.

More will follow.

Lots of Good Eating
