There are several volunteers up and down the country who collect, take in and generally look after the dog before rehoming. If, for some reason, the dog cannot be re-homed  (age being the usual factor) then the dog stays with the Rescue and is supported by the Rescue.  We NEVER put a dog to sleep for any other reason than suffering, and that they no longer have a quality of life.

The numbers we rescue obviously fluctuate from year to year but, be it one or fifty-one, it all takes money to keep the Rescue running.  Any rescue can only do what its funds allow.  No matter what is in the bank today, if the funds do not keep coming in then eventually the rescue cannot continue to operate.
