How
BONES Started
-
In
November 2000, in an
animal shelter just outside Athens, were two English Setters. Beam, a 6 year old Orange Belton, and
PJ a 3 or 4 year old Tri-colour. Both came into the shelter in a dreadful
condition. Beam was found wandering, being kicked from one shop doorway to
another. So ill he could not even stand and refused the food some nearby lady
tried to give him. This lady tried to protect him from disgruntled shop owners
for two days as she rang around trying to get help for him. PJ was tied to the
shelter gatepost. He had been beaten and was also in an appalling condition. PJ
had been living at the shelter for two years.
